One of the blessings we enjoy as Christians is that wherever we find ourselves in the world, we have a community to which we belong, where genuine relationships with other Christians can be enjoyed. If we neglect table fellowship, we will miss one of the wonderful ways God builds real community in the church.

As creatures made in God’s image, we were created for relationships. By God’s design, therefore, genuine relationships are the foundation for all human flourishing. At Sanctuary of Hope we believe fellowship with people is as vital as any part of the Church today.

The author of Hebrews said, “let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near” (Heb. 10:24-25). Stirring up “to love and good works” is the idea along with “encouraging one another”. The means to attain these goals is by meeting together.

We meet every first Sunday night for a meal, followed by a devotional, singing, or a game etc., at a home someone has volunteered. It's a time for fun and fellowship, for us to draw closer to one another, and to pray for one another.
